The Brief
Seamlessly aligned with Howden’s brand and ethos, WSG Joinery brought to life bespoke joinery package at The Avebury, Milton Keynes, transforming our client’s OD Group’s vision for a collaborative workplace into reality.
Inspired by Howden’s London HQ, the project was driven by a brief to create a true ‘destination’ office, featuring thoughtful zoning, layered design, and rich materiality. The space was designed to support the company’s hybrid working model while inspiring employees to come together in-person and foster stronger connections.
Anchored in communication and connection, central to both the brand and its people, the project embraced timelessness, agility, sustainability, and quality.
Every element was crafted with inclusivity at the forefront, delivering Howden the ‘home’ they envisioned.
The Solution
The specialist joinery package included:
- A custom-designed reception desk and planters, seamlessly integrating client branding.
- Tea points designed for convenience and style.
- A spacious servery and on-site café, occupying half of the third floor. This area featured bespoke seating, custom-built part-glazed screening, ceramic tiling, and vibrant neon signage.
- Meeting rooms and boardrooms crafted for functionality and aesthetics.
- Collaboration spaces designed to foster teamwork and creativity.
- Striking ceiling features, made from both timber and acoustic materials, installed above breakout areas to highlight and enhance these alternative workspaces.
