Introduction
Peldon Rose is one of London’s leading office design and fit-out companies, with a reputation for delivering considered, high-quality workplaces. When they won the tender to fit out a 12,000 sq ft London office for a Global Reinsurance Provider, they brought WSG Joinery on board to deliver the bespoke joinery package that would define the space.
What We Delivered
WSG Joinery delivered a comprehensive bespoke joinery package across the full site, covering:
- Reception desk and feature back wall, incorporating the curved wall-to-ceiling raft transition
- Feature ceiling raft, engineered to connect with the reception joinery in one continuous arc
- Tea points in both the broker’s lounge and employee breakout areas
- Breakout seating and benches, designed to complement the wider interior scheme
- Additional commercial interior joinery throughout the fit-out
The centrepiece of the package was the reception feature wall. Fabricated in natural wood to align with the project’s material palette of blue accents and timber, the wall curves upward and overhead into a ceiling raft, creating a welcoming, architecturally coherent arrival sequence. The form had to be designed, fabricated, and installed to exact tolerances so that the curve would read as a single, unbroken gesture rather than a series of joined components.
Throughout the project, WSG Joinery maintained close communication with the Peldon Rose site team. Given the complexity of working in a live building, being consistently available and responsive was a practical necessity, and WSG Joinery made it a priority. Regular coordination meant that any queries or adjustments were resolved quickly, keeping the programme on track and the site running smoothly.
