From time to time, we speak to a new client and find out they’re looking for a better experience than they may have had elsewhere in Commercial Interiors. And that gives us extra determination to restore their faith in the industry, and deliver a job that exceeds their expectations.
This job was a real team thing. WSG’s in-house sales, estimating, design, project management and production teams knew that we’d snapped up a client who needed reassurance after a bad experience elsewhere. We vowed that we’d get it right.
We upped our already impressive internal communication processes on this one, and ensured that the team at Echospace were routinely updated and involved in our conversations from the pre-brief, brief, design, manufacture and installation stages. This meant they could liaise with their end-client informed, and with confidence.
When we had a new idea or a necessary re-configuration of design – they were consulted straight away. And in partnership, we delivered a job that delighted our client.
The brief for this job was to design and create bleacher seating, booth seating and install a concrete effect laminate to the floor for a tech end-client in London.
Where the bleacher and booth seating was a relatively straight forward part of the work, the variation of materials required for the job meant that we had to plan the work out to simplify the process.
Adding a bespoke mesh material into the furniture was also a challenge that we had to overcome, and this is where our multi-department comms needed to be on the ball.
The finished result was superb. It looked so good, and it worked too. It worked so well, and we struggled to think of anything we could have done better.
In fact, our contact at Echospace summed it up perfectly. He told us: “Echospace engaged with WSG to manufacture and install three key pieces of high-end joinery for the new tech client based in Old Street London. We collaborated on bleacher seating, a feature room divider, and a set of booths with integrated planters to the front of house area. All of the items have been delivered and installed to a high standard, we will definitely be working with WSG on future commercial office projects.”
And that was music to our ears. Even when you deliver a project to such a high standard with great levels of service, if the client has had a poor experience elsewhere you’re always on tenterhooks wondering if you’ve got it right for them.
But we were confident in what we’d done, and how the finished project worked. And to hear the client echo those thoughts, and know they love what we’ve done was what working in Commercial Interiors is all about.
